Cathcart Elementary teachers, support staff and parents working together to help EVERY student become the best they can be in a safe, friendly, fun community.
Parents and community members are always welcome at school. If you would like to volunteer at Cathcart, please contact a teacher or our CPO directly or volunteer through the school office. All volunteers must complete a Washington State Patrol I.D. check. Cathcart Elementary is fortunate to have dedicated parents working to support children and our school. The CPO provides direct support and assistance to the students and staff by volunteering and helping with various programs and events.
Your child's consistent attendance at school is extremely important to all of us at Cathcart. Punctual attendance is an essential habit to develop and nurture; and is critical to your child's academic and social successes at school. In the event your child will be absent due to illness, a health condition, a religious observance, or a family emergency, you must contact the school office at 360-563-7126. This is a 24-hour attendance line for your convenience. Please be advised, all unreported absences will be recorded as unexcused.
Next year variance information
"We are currently accepting Choice Transfers (variances) and In-District Transfers for the 2015-16 school year. If your student is on an In-District or Choice Transfer (variance from another district) please complete a new form for the 2015-16 school year. All decisions are based on capacity. Please ensure your students continued attendance by completing an application, if you have not already done so. This is an annual requirement. In-District Transfer forms can be found on the website at sno.wednet.edu or at the district office. If you live outside of the Snohomish School District, please go to your home district and request a Choice Transfer. If you have questions, please contact Maxine Marshall, Enrollment & Skyward Services at 360-563-7240."

Visitors are always welcome at Cathcart! To ensure safety and proper security, we ask that ALL visitors sign in at the main office and wear a visitor badge while they are on the school premises. If you wish to visit the classroom, please make arrangements with your child's teacher in advance.
If your child will be arriving late to school, please be sure to let the office know by calling the attendance line. When arriving, your child must sign in at the office front desk before going to class.
If you pick your child up from school before dismissal time, please come to the office to sign him / her out. We will call your child’s class at that point and ask them to meet you in the office.
If you would like your child to ride a different bus after school to a friend's house or daycare, please send a note to school with your child so we can write a Bus Pass. Please also send a note if they will be picked up after school so that we can send a Pick Up Pass. If changes occur during the day, please call the office no later than 2:30 Mon-Thurs and 12:30 on Friday so that we can get a note to your student before dismissal.
